Strawberry And Banana Smoothie

I’m a big smoothy fan. I love having smoothies for breakfast. It’s so quick and easy. You can even take your smoothie and enjoy on-the-go. Ideal for those rushed, semi-overslept mornings.

Don’t use all frozen fruits, you will end up with a mixture that is too thick and not drinkable. If you have only frozen fruits, allow them to thaw slightly before using.

A smart addition to any smoothy is a spoon full of flaxseed powder and chia seeds. I add these to just about all my smoothies, they’re loaded with nutrients. Both are excellent sources of fibre. Chia seeds are a good source of antioxidants, iron and calcium. Flaxseed powder is loaded with Omega-3 fats and contains high-quality proteins. They don’t really alter the taste, so why not? Always good to boost your nutrient intake.
